In this book, Lisa gets a homework assignment to measure things at home. Follow Lisa on her way to completing the assignment. She comes up with many ideas on how and what to measure. I like this book! It is a great tool to introduce the concepts of measuring. It also briefly goes over the work it takes to have a dog. The pictures are very detailed in showing the objects that get measured. The book also introduces new vocabulary like inches, gallons, and even measuring with non-standard units like paperclips!

I'll make a prediction about what she measures: the circumference of a dog's head and belly, the length of his ears, legs, and tail???
I would definitely use this book to introduce new vocab for measuring!
